Elmo, 73 years old, longtime Grove City resident, passed away Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010. Elmo was a part of the "McDonalds Bunch" on Hoover & 665, an avid hunter, fisher, gardener and enjoyed the company of his two cats "Piper" & "Jinx". He retired from Buckeye Steel Castings in 1998 after 29 years of service. Elmo truly enjoyed his friends and front porch sittin'. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Ethel Mae Ratliff, son, Thomas, siblings; Garland, John, Lyman, Brooks, Everett, Margaret Ratliff and Catherine Thompson. Elmo will be deeply missed by his loving wife Ava D. (Rathburn) Ratliff, children; Bill (Vonda) Ratliff, Karen (Phillip) Fitch, Randy (Pam) Ratliff, Lisa Caldwell and Mark (Christy) Ratliff, sister, Ona Payne, two brothers, Fines (Rita) Ratliff and Jimmy (Marilyn) Ratliff, sister-in-laws, Lori (Sarah) Rathburn-Hutchens, Mary Ratliff, brother-in-law, Danny (Kathy) Bennett, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, February 8th, 2010, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Memorial service is immediately following at 7:00 PM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
Memorial Donations may be made to Local Food Pantry or Humane Society in Elmo's memory.
