BOWEN, Elsie Joan ( nee Cotton) Smith Bowen, of Columbus, Ohio passed away February 28, 2005 at Columbus Health Care in North Columbus. She was born October 18, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Mandy Cotton; first husband, John Smith; second husband, James Bowen; 2 brothers, David Fields, Jessie Cotton; 4 sisters, Christine McCaskey, Goldie Dearth, Emma Gallia, Lora Church; son, Danny Graham and grandson, Jeffrey Simmerman. She is survived by her 6 children, Steve (Jane) Graham of Tarlton, OH., Rebecca A. Warner and John Rawlins of Frankfort, OH, Rocky Smith of Yellville, AR, Lynn (Mike) Magill of Adelphia, OH, Tracy (John) Seelig of Columbus, John Smith of Columbus; sister, Eva O'Connor of Grove City; brother-in-law, Cecil McCaskey of Columbus; former son-in-law, Robert Warner; former daughters-in-law, Annette Smith and Debby Day; 16 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Elsie was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Eagles and AARP. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the funeral home with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Burial will be at 2:00PM Wednesday at Newtown Cemetery in Newtown, Ohio.
