Elsie Smascz, 77, of Hilliard, passed away May 12, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents, Nicholas and Ksenia Shalagan; brother, Stanley Shalagan; sisters, Julie Fox and Betty Ward and son-in-law, Kenneth Riley. Elsie is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Gill) Plante Sr., Christina Riley; son, Leonard (Mona) Smascz Jr.; grandchildren, Judy Carol (Jim) Brown, Gill (Kelly) Plante Jr., Nicholas (Ashley) Plante, Jared (Heather) Rose, Russell Smascz; great-grandchildren, Cody and Olivia Brown and Chloe, Jace and Camden Rose and sister, Mary Ricci. Elsie was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio.
