Emma Hayhurst, 73, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at her home. Emma was born to the late Clarence and Mildred Hayhurst on September 23, 1935 in Little Bingamon, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Flinchum; son Peter Hayhurst; and daughter, Melinda Pierce. Emma is survived by her daughters, Tina (Mike) Congrove, Melissa (James) Marioth, and Crystal (John) Smith; son, Terry (Tampsa) Hayhurst; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Heflin and Ethel Bates; and her many friends at Lutheran Social Services. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 2:00PM‑4:00PM and 6:00PM‑8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 2:00PM at the funeral home. Pastor Gilbert Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio.
