Emma Alaskiewicz, age 93, died peacefully on May 18, 2012. She was born on May 14, 1919 in Danvers, MA, where she resided before moving to FL in 1970.
An avid golfer and beachcomber, Emma enjoyed living in the Ft. Lauderdale and Melbourne areas before moving to Columbus, OH in 2006.
She is survived by her loving children Carol (Andy) Bensing and Brian (Kathleen) Alaskiewicz, grandchildren Joe (Jacqui) Bolger, Brad (Kate) Bolger, Jay (Barb) Bolger, Nicole Alaskiewicz and Andrew Alaskiewicz, as well as six great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday May 28, 2012 at 11:00a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2692 E. 5th Ave, Columbus, OH. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held in MA at a later date. Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231.
