Emogene J. Carter, age 83, born March 23, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 27, 2021.
Emogene was devoted to her children and grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.
Emogene had an outgoing personality and charmed everyone that came in contact with her.
She would always call everyone "sister friend".
She is preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Emogene; father, Charles Barnett; brother, Charles Barnett; and sister, Rose Barnett.
She is survived by her children Tommy Lee Bell (Beverly), Michael Barnett (Carolyn), Deborah Jackson, Marie Carter, Regina McQueen (Steve), Juan Carter; and 18 grandchildren; brother, Emerson Barnett; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1st, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following.
