Erin Nicole "Nikki" Price, 39, passed away on June 5, 2022. She was born the day after father's day on June 21, 1982 Her dad thought he wanted a boy until he held Nikki. From that moment on she was his heart. He gave you your first bath, got up early in the morning to relieve mother, Jeannie because she has always been a night shifter. Your Grandma was so thrilled and loves you very much. Nikki was a happy baby who liked to stay up all night. Mom and Dad rocked her to sleep every night until she was 3. Nikki's first year was busy as Mom and Dad moved from North Carolina to Texas around 3 days after her 1st birthday and she had a brother who was her best friend.
Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Charles, brother, Clint Price, grandparents, Oscar and Victoria Perry, Harvie Belcher. She is survived by daughter, Saige Thornton, mother, Gloria Price, grandparents, Dottie and Bill Gugel and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.
Nikki loved reading and acting and was NOT into sports. The family settled back to Cherrypoint, North Carolina and Nikki loved her 1st grade teacher. Nikki considered "home" Grandma's and she even made a map for Santa. Sports was not Nikki's friend and a broken wrist and finger ended that career path. At 16, the family moved from California to po-dunk Ohio and 6 months later Nikki agreed family is everything.
Nikki graduated from Columbus State with an Associates Degree and had a love for Human Resources. She was so close with all of her cousins, aunts, uncles and they all have wonderful stories to tell.
In 2000, Nikki had a beautiful baby girl, Saige Michal Thornton, who loved her mother very much. Saige always comments that her mother, Nikki, was judgment free along with her friends. Saige loved the "Team Saige" section at all of her games. Both sides of the family came to support Saige. Saige loved being Nikki's daughter.
Nikki's proudest moments were watching Saige do anything she set her mind to, from band to softball to graduating High School.
Nikki will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends and relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10am to 12noon on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
