Esther M. Wheeler

Esther Mae (Clements) Wheeler, 79, departed this life on January 29th, 2022, following a valiant battle against metastatic breast cancer.
Esther was born on August 30th, 1942, in Huntington, WV, to Wilbur Lee Clements and Rosa Esther (Lewis) Clements, who both precede her in death.
She was wed to Leon Lee Wheeler on December 30th, 1966, then relocated to Springfield, MA, where they started their family. Ultimately, the Wheelers moved to Columbus, OH, bought a home, and raised their three children: Leanne, Early, and Kimberly.
Esther was widowed on March 5th, 2019.
After 34 years in the nursing industry, where she was known for her hard work, dedication, caring nature and compassionate spirit, Esther medically retired. In retirement, she went on to spend copious amounts of time with her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and thoroughly enjoyed; and at her church, Beacon of Hope, where she was an usher.
Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Lee Clements, and Rosa Esther Clements; brothers, Carl Leon Clements, James (Paw Paw) Clements, Juan F. Clements, Wilbur (Buddy) Clements, and Donald Perry; and sister, Linda C. Payton.
Left to mourn her passing are her three children and respective spouses (as applicable): Leanne D. Wheeler, Early L. (Cathy) Wheeler, Sr., and Kimberly L. (Nathan) Nixt; five grandchildren: Early L. Wheeler, Jr., Naomi B. E. Wheeler, Caden J. Nixt, McKenna L. Nixt, and Jude M. Nixt; her sister, Joyce L. Turner; her brother, Adrian E. Clements; a host of nieces and nephews; and her favorite grand pups, Cooper, and Lola.

Visitation Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 1pm until the time of Funeral Service at 2pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington, WV on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11am.
