Ethel Gist, 93, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. Ethel was born on September 2, 1929 in Paden City, West Virginia to Shannon Anderson and Elizabeth Billiter Anderson.
Ethel is preceded in death by husband, Paul Gist and siblings Harry, Chester, Ray, Genevieve and Virginia.
She is survived by Daughter, Jill (Butch) Walker, Son, Tom (Patsy) Gist, Jr. Grandchildren, Lori Shelby, Tiffany, Nikki, Collin. Great Grandchildren, Cory, Brittany, Morgan, Marcus, Tiana, Katelyn, Cameron, Connor, Logan, Karmela, Janay, Aniyah and Naryah. Great great Grandchildren, Grayson and Kaleb.
Ethel was a beautician and worked at Lazarus over 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching Ohio State football.
Ethel loved her family greatly and will be missed by all.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 12:00 pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to family. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
