Ethel L. Swickard-McKelvey, 89, Gahanna, passed away Saturday, December 08, 2012. Ethel was born in Blacklick, OH on April 30, 1923, to Levi Roy and Catherine Anna (Layman) Murphy and is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William E. Swickard and Royce R. McKelvey and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son, Paul E. (Sandy) Swickard; brother, Robert (Phyllis) Murphy; grandchildren, Wade (Lisa) Swickard and Amy (Kevin) Green; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012, 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany, OH.
