Eugene W. Stefanski, 74, of Columbus, passed away August 20, 2007 at Grant Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Stefanski; brothers, Julius, Henry, Jerry, Ray, Ervin, and sister, Isabelle. Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Janet Stefanski; daughters, Kim (Donald) Zollinger, Patty (Victor) Jones, Michelle (Robert) Poff; son, Tommy Stefanski; grandchildren, Zak, Sonny, Elizabeth, Megan, Page; great-grandchildren, Dylon, Xadrian; sisters, Dorothy, Jeanie, Frances and brothers, Harry, Stanley, Lenny, John, Leo, Walter and Paul. Eugene was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Holy Family Eucharistic Adoration. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Eugene was a jokester at heart. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Friday, August 24, 2007 at the funeral home. Father Kevin Lutz will be officiating with interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
