LIADIS
Eugenia L. Liadis, age 93, of Columbus, passed away in the arms of God and her family on December 12, 2008 at her residence. She was born in the town of Kardamyla, on the island Chios, Greece on December 6, 1915 to parents Captain John S. Vayianos and Evangelina Moraglis-Vayianos. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus,OH. In 1971, she was honored as an Archontisa of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, who cherishes the faith, zeal and fervent devotion of the blessed memory of Patriarch Athenagoras. She was a true believer in the values of church, family, and Hellenism. She is preceded in death by her husband, Limberis P. Liadis after 48 years of marriage; children, Antonia,and Takis Liadis; 6 siblings. Eugenia is survived by sons, John L. and George (Nikki) Liadis; grandchildren, Eugenia, Limberis, and John Liadis; nieces, nephews and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. with a Trisagion service at 7:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3047 E. Dublin- Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 17 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral 555 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43215. Reverend Economos Michael Kontos Jr. and Reverend Joseph DiStefano officiating.
