VARGA
Eva Jeney Varga, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, March 21, 2010. Born December 18, 1925 in the city of Marosvásárhely, Hungary. Eva maintained a cultured life and despite the ravages of World War II she carried her Magyar heritage proudly to the end. Residing in Germany after the war she married fellow Hungarian Stephen T. Varga and then emigrated with him, along with her mother and father to the United States in 1950, eventually settling in Columbus, Ohio. Over the years she was involved with several professional organizations and a sorority. Preceded in death by her parents, Atilla and Rozalia Jeney and by her beloved husband Stephen T. Varga, formerly a retired executive with the Nationwide Insurance Company. Eva's loss will be profoundly felt by her two sons Laci (Darlene) Varga and Steven (Michelle) Varga, and grandchildren Laurie, Andrea (Mark), Danny, Amanda, Adam (Kumiko), Zack (Ashley) and Josh, as well as ten great-grandchildren, and her constant companion – Tiffany, her ShihTzu dog. She leaves behind her only and lifelong sibling, brother Dr. Karl Jeney of Westerville. Eva Varga will be deeply missed and her memory forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her in life. Visitation Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Funeral Service 10 AM, Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
