Evelyn M. (Fleming) Carlock, 97, of Columbus, died peacefully Saturday, September, 9, 2006, at Friendship Village of Westerville. She was born March 10, 1909, in Coshocton Co., daughter of the late Frank and May Oxley Fleming. Evelyn was retired from OSU Hospital and was a charter member of Maize United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Dallas C. Carlock. She is survived by a son, Donald (Ruth) Carlock of Columbus; two daughters, Mary Farquhar of Brandon, Mississippi and Lois (Lee) Kelser of Columbus; sister-in-law, Margaret Fleming; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday September 12, 2006 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Freshour, officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Alexandria. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in the name of Evelyn Carlock be sent to Mt. Carmel Hospice 1144 Dublin Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43215 or Maize Manor United Methodist Church 3901 Maize Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43224.
