Fannie Mae Meek, 76, of Columbus, passed away July 30, 2011. She was born in Lousia, KY on December 14, 1934 to Uriah and Pearl (Borders) Preece. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Nellie Preston, brothers, Derl and Charles Preece. Surviving family includes, husband, Custer "Bud" Meek, daughters, Kathy (Larry) Church, Donna (Lee) Atkins-Friedman, brother, Claude Preece, sisters, Lena Hunter, Nadine Hall, Glenda Chenoweth, grandchildren, Nikki Newman, Noella Meek, April (Stephen) Meek, Jeremy Newman, Ledo Meek, great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Joey, Sierra, Michael, Destiny, John, Tyler, Paul, Blaine, Makayla, Brayden, Breinna and many nieces and nephews. Special caretakers, loving granddaughters, Noella and April. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30am, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017-4184.
