Flora Ross

Mrs. Flora Ann Hames Ross, 80, of 4260 Valley Quail Blvd, Westerville, Ohio became absent from the body and present with the Lord on Monday, August 29, 2022.

Mrs. Ross was born in Sharon, SC to the union of the late Etta and Arthur Hames. She was the first of four children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Earl Ross.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late James Earl Ross for 48 years. To this union one daughter was born, Shantee Ross Tiller (James) of Charlotte, NC.

Also left to cherish memories are her siblings, Lois H. Meadow of Union, SC, Margaret H. Smith of Lockhart, SC, Alleen H. Smith (Augustus) of Chester, SC; two granddaughters, Saria and Margaret Tiller of Charlotte, NC; one niece, SSG Kimberly M. Smith of Huntsville, AL; three nephews, Calvin Meadow (Denise) of Greenville, SC, Christopher and Patrick Smith of Chester, SC, one great-aunt, Lillian Brown of Rock Hill, SC.

Mrs. Ross will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother to her daughter Shantee and her granddaughters, Saria and Margaret.

The family is proud to acknowledge what a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt that they have had in their lives.

She was known as a soft spoken and quiet spirited woman. She learned to love and respect others through her integrity, loyalty, and self-respect.

Mrs. Ross dedicated her life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. Afterwhich, her sole desire was to see God's will fulfilled to her life; and so, the night has ended. The worldly problems are gone. For there will be peace forever in the presence of the Lord.
