Florence Ann (Hanna) Carr Braskett, age 91, passed peacefully from this life to the next on May 31,2021.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, she attended St.Mary School and Mifflin High School.
Florence enjoyed simple pleasures such as studying the Bible, listening to her favorite music, watching golf and baseball on tv, dining out and visiting with family and friends.
As a founding member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Florence volunteered for many Christian Outreach Ministry Programs and for the Board of Women Voters.
She was an avid supporter of the Columbus Clippers and the Jazz Arts Group and contributed to a variety of charities.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Lee and Josephine Hanna, paternal grandparents, Clifford and Lillian Hanna, maternal grandparents,Joseph and Anna Kamzuri, brother, William Hanna, eldest son, Clifford Carr, and cousins, Lillian Pinnell and Susan Wolfe.
Celebrating her life are her children, Deborah Brown, Melody (Chet Gunka), Mark (Cristina) Carr, Rebecca Alaburda, Dawn Marie (Jeffrey) Denius, and Donald (Jennifer )Braskett Jr. as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Stanley, Jason (Valerie) Brown, Michael (Dana) Phillips, Nicholas (Courtney) Carr, Matthew Alaburda,
Amanda Render, Hanna Render, Khaila Carr, Ashley (Andrew) Sergi,
Hillary Braskett, Madeline Richards,
Katelynn Braskett, and Donald Braskett III.
Florence was blessed with nine great grandchildren, Jack,Luke and Nick Stanley, Bella and Reese Brown, Pilot Phillips, Paxon Carr, Kaleb Braskett, and Jackson Sergi.
Florence was fortunate to have such an amazing circle of friends at The Woods at Central College. The family sincerely thanks the hospice staff who cared for Florence in her final days.
A private memorial service and internment will be at Riverside Cemetery at a future date.
