Forrest D. "Wimpy" Whitten, 87, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Forrest is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Nancy; siblings, Louva and Charles Kenneth. He is survived by son, Delos F. (Janet) Whitten; daughters, Linda (William) Mees, and Thelma "T.J." (Donovan Exley) Whitten; brother, Charles Arthur Whitten, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Deanna, and Christopher Whitten, Sarah (Ronald Barba) Mees, and William Mees; "adopted" loved ones, Karen and John Holt and sons, Andy and Ben (his "little buddies"). Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, 2010, from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Springbank Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ohio.
