Frances Rose Daniels, 71, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 8, 2010. At the time of her passing, she was at home surrounded by her family who loved and adored her. She was born October 9, 1938 in Thealka, KY to Woodrow and Oneida Castle. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother and special friend to all who were blessed to have known her. She had a sweet, sweet spirit that touched many lives. In our heartbreak and grief, we rejoice in knowing that she is now in the presence of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, dear sister, Mageline Ward and beloved grandson, Jared Daniels. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Augustus Daniels; children, Denver (Patty Street) Daniels, David (Tina) Daniels, Darrell (Cathie) Daniels, Diana (Tim) McGowan and Doug (Kim) Daniels; grandchildren, Jesse (Cara) Daniels, Lathe Daniels, Jenavieve (Keegan) Kirwin, Leslie (Ryan) Kizer, Shayla McGowan and Peyton Daniels; great grand-children, Casey and Megan Daniels and an expectant great-grandchild; siblings, Jesse Young, Ida Pack, and Roger, Doug and Lon Castle. She was a long-time member of Alger United Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Tanios S. Bekaii-Saab and the staff of The Ohio State University's James Cancer Center and Martha J. Moorehouse chemotherapy treatment offices; as well as the staff at Riverside HomeReach Hospice for their kind-hearted and compassionate care shown to our precious loved one. Visitation Friday, February 12, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Funeral Service Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Freddie Preston, Curt Smith and Denver Caudill will officiate. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice/ OhioHealth Foundation, 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43214-9988.
