Frank Padilla was born April 23, 1932 in Omar, West Virginia to Balente Padilla and Mary Martinez and passed January 05, 2022 in Westerville, Ohio. Frank's mother died when he was only 2 years old and he was raised by his God parents, Nina and Joe Lozano. After school he joined the United States Air Force and served for 20 years. While stationed at Lockbourne AFB in 1955 he met and married the love of his life, Jeannie.
Frank is preceded in death by his wife Wilma Jean Price Padilla, stepson Harry Short, brothers Sammy and Rafael Padilla, sisters Dolores Marble and Katherina 'Katie' Sotono; and nephew Jack Moses.
He is survived by his stepdaughter Ruby Caroline Redding, daughter-in-law Sherri Short, grandchildren Lance Short, Alex Maust, Casey Hodnett, Lisa Amos and Lori Downey, nephews Rafael and Larry Padilla and James Marble; nieces Linda Browning, Esther Barrea and Caroline Padilla; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday January 13, 2022, at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
Internment will be at a later date at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, 5802 Elder Rd, Canal Winchester, OH 43110.
