Franklin Maynard Pyles, born January 24, 1953, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the age of 69.
Frank's love and devotion for his wife and children is what made him a great man. His grandchildren were the highlight of his days and he enjoyed spending time with them, providing guidance and instilling family values. He was an avid classic car enthusiast and a long-time member of the Outsiders Car Club. He enjoyed restoring cars and participating in many car cruises. Frank had a lot of special friends throughout the years, spending countless hours building hot rods together in each others garages. His other interests included playing the lottery, coin collecting, listening to music, and watching his favorite football teams.
Franklin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marlene; children , Sunshine (Eddie) Sorrell, Franklin Jr, Michael (Courtney); grandchildren, Zacharey, Andrew, Shelby, Reilly, Avry, Jeffery, Caleb, Kaylee; sister, Karen (Rick) Boggs; brother, Jeff (Roni) Pyles; sisters-in-law, Linda Baker, Sandy Ankrum, Carole Pyles, Carol Pyles, Donna Brock; brothers-in-law, Richard (Connie) DeWeese, Dan (Kathy) DeWeese, Harold (Jeanne) DeWeese, Jay (Deirdre) DeWeese; aunt, Bonnie Thompson, many nieces and nephews.
Franklin is preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Pyles; son, James; brothers, Rick Baker, Bill Pyles, Ted Pyles and George Pyles.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm and Monday, February 28, 2022 from 11am to 1pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 1pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel with Chaplain Thomas McGraw, officiating. He will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Health Hospice of Columbus in Franklin's honor.
