GRUMMAN
W. Fred Grumman, 70 of Columbus passed away at home on Saturday May 27, 2006 at 7:46 P.M., devout member of the Church of Christ for 58 years, current member of the Cherry Creek Church of Christ, member of Luther B. Turner Masonic Lodge for 49 years, member of the Evening Square Dance Club, and retired from the Columbus Dispatch after more than 27 years of service. Preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Arthur and Evelyn Grumman. Fred is survived by his Loving and Devoted Wife of 49 years, Josephine "Jo" Stanley Grumman; Children, Lynn (Jerry) Jones of Columbus, Sue (Mark) Brown of Williamsport, Terri (Mike) Jones of Galloway, Becky Grumman of Hillsboro, and Chuck Grumman of St. Petersburg, Florida; Siblings, Charles (Ruth) Grumman of Louisville, Kentucky, Edward Grumman (Nancy Boogs) of West Liberty, Trudy (Tafola) Greenhill of Appling Georgia; Eight Grandchildren, Martin Eldridge III, Will Stone, Mike (Jennifer) Jones, Phillip Harmon, Valerie Harmon, Matthew Jones, Kyle Stone, and Mikayla Jones; Three Great-Grandchildren, Martin, IV and Sidney Eldridge, and Dylan (Harmon) Benner; along with many additional beloved family and friends; beloved nurse of Doctors West Heart Clinic, Beth Bushey; and many thanks to the staff of Mt. Carmel Hospice. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Newcomer Funeral Home S.W. Chapel, 3393 Broadway Avenue, Grove City. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home with Mike Breidenbaugh and Paul Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
