Fred V. Krisher, 74, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Grant Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1934, in Kenton, son of the late Fred and Cleon Haynes Krisher. Fred served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict was a member of the Moose Lodge #11 and was also an avid Bengals, Reds and Jeff Gordon Fan. He is survived by his wife, Josephine "Jody" Krisher; daughters, Dena Marsh Cochran and Judith Krisher; granddaughters, Jessica (Ed) Puckett and Stephanie (Bill) Shockey; papa's grandbabies, Austin, Zachary, Morgan, Halle, Alex, Tyler and Danielle. Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home S.W. Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Obetz Cemetery.
Cincinnati Red Fred was a loving, caring man who deeply cherished his family and thought of others instead of himself.
