Fred R. Perry

 Fred Rowland Perry passed away on July 7, 2024 at his home in Gahanna, Ohio. Fred was born June 3, 1960 in Youngtown, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents Odell and Ozella Perry and sister Lateefah Perry. Fred leaves behind his wife Sandra (Woods) Perry, his sons Marquis (Tiffany) Perry and Cortland (Mya) Perry. Fred is also survived by siblings Elder Odell Perry Jr. of Columbus, Ohio and three sisters: Arkeedah (Gary) Demmons of Suwanee, Georgia, Drucilla Perry of Delaware, Ohio and Sharara (Pastor J. Dwayne) Heard of Boardman, Ohio. Fred also leaves a legacy with his precious grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. 

 In his career, Fred was an established executive chef. He enjoyed using his creativity with food and seeing others enjoy his creations. In his spare time, he liked to fish and watch football, especially the Michigan Wolverines. In his youth, Fred was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps with his siblings. Fred also enjoyed listening to music.

 A service commemorating Fred’s life will be on Saturday July 13, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3047 East Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio. The viewing is from 3-4pm and the funeral service will begin 4:00pm.
