Fred Wakefield, age 78, of Columbus passed away on September 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Norma Wakefield; son, Fred Wakefield Jr.; and grandson, Matthew Wilson Wakefield.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Pat; brother, George (Becky) Wakefield; grandson, Michael Wakefield; granddaughter, Lori Wakefield; great granddaughter, Mihya Renee Morrow; and many other family and friends.
Fred was a construction plumber for 30 years. He enjoyed doing ceramics with his wife and boating. Fred also served as an Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts for many years.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest, 3393 Broadway, Grove City.
