Freda D. Davis, 90, of Grove City, OH passed peacefully, at home, on December 8, 2023 surrounded by family.
Freda was born on May 20, 1933 to George and Alice Duff in Mahaffey, PA. After graduating from Homer City High School in 1952, she joined the United States Air Force. She was very proud to have served her country from 1952 to 1954.
After leaving the Air Force, she managed several banks, served as an administrative assistant for the Ohio License Beverage Association and was a lobbyist for AAA until she retired in 2008. One of her greatest professional achievements was helping pass the Ohio seatbelt laws.
Freda was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandma and great-grandma. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She loved sewing, woodworking, yard work, puzzles, reading and collecting seashells. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice Duff and her sisters, Margaret Todhunter and Elsie Overman.
Freda is survived by her daughter, Tammy Davis-Brintlinger; her sons, Steve Davis and Tommy (Rachel) Davis; her grandchildren, Ashlynne (Tony) Vonville, Afton (Ben) Townsend and Tommy, Jacob, Aaron Moses and Isaac Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Charley, Carter and Cale Vonville, and Isabella Townsend.
Visitation:Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 5-7 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
Thursday, December 14th from 12-1 at First Baptist Church Grove City, 3301 Orders Rd, Grove City, OH.
Service: Thursday, December 14th at 1pm at First Baptist Church Grove City. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
