Frederick "Joe" Schmitt, 63, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly October 9, 2012 at his home.
Born May 14, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Fred and Edith Schmitt.
Joe was a 1968 graduate of Brookhaven High School and then attended The Ohio State University. He dedicated his life to law enforcement and special investigations. His true passion was his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving sister, Judy Eastman; two sons, Robert and Peter; numerous grandchildren; niece, Kristina (Jack) Davis and children.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM Monday, October 15, 2012 at All Saints Lutheran Church 6770 N. High St. Worthington, Ohio 43085.
