Frederick L. "Fred" Schuetz, 66, of Westerville, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at O.S.U. Medical Center. He was born August 14, 1944, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Bernard and Alice Newland Schuetz. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Fleming Schuetz; brothers, Joseph Schuetz and Dennis Schuetz and sister, Jane Schuetz. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and retired from Westerville City Schools after 32 years of service. Fred was also the owner of Liberty Tax Service from 1999-2006. He is survived by his sons, Michael Schuetz and William "B.J." (Sarabeth) Schuetz; daughters, Kimberly (John) Harper and Sarah Evans; brother, Neale Schuetz; grandchildren, Chase Harper, Victor Schuetz, Max Schuetz and Reed Schuetz. Visitation will be Monday, November 22, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State St. Westerville, with Father David E. Gwinner, celebrant. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Ave Columbus, OH 43215.
