Galen Hosler

Galen M. "Ike" Hosler, 88, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. Born July, 18, 1918, to the late Pearl and Elizabeth (Miller) Hosler, Ike is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty (Morris) Hosler; son, Michael (Elizabeth) Hosler; daughter, Reverend Darla Hosler; sister, Joy (Ray) Egelhoff; grandchildren, Dawn Armentrout, Emilie and MaryCatherine Hosler; great-grandchild, Christofer Jordan Armentrout; long time family friend, Dr. Robert Wilkinson. Ike was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Robert, Gervis and Ruth Hosler. Ike retired from the Columbus Board of Education. Visitation will be conducted Tuesday, August 22, 2006, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio, with the service being held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at the funeral home.
