Garth Allen Akers, 47, of South Bloomfield, Ohio, passed away July 4, 2021.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 8, 1974 to Danette Gallagher and Leonard Akers.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Joseph Akers; grandparents, Lonnie and Vivian Akers, Joseph and Mary Brun; step-father, Michael Gallagher Sr.
Surviving family includes loving wife of five years, Frances "Missy" Akers; his parents; children, Austin, Dallas, Halley, Donnie Heskett, Jordan Heskett; grandchildren, Aleah, Alexis, Amelia, Logan, Alice; siblings, Michael Gallagher Jr., Heather Gallagher, Lyndi Boyd, Derrick Akers, Michelle Akers; as well as other loving extended family and friends.
Garth was a dynamic man who loved his family, fishing, playing the guitar, and Rock 'n Roll.
He loved Guns n Roses, Metallica, Korn, Megadeth, and his dog Abby Dabby Doo.
Garth will forever be known for having a big heart and always being dedicated to his family.
He will be truly missed by all.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12th, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - 3393 Broadway, Grove City - OH. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home. A Burial will take place in procession to Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City - OH.
