Gary Joseph Frazier, 66 of Dublin, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022. Gary was born June 28, 1955 in Westfield, New York to Joseph and Norrine (Cole) Frazier. Gary was a 1973 graduate of Dunkirk Senior High and had a Bachelors degree from Ohio University. Gary lived life on his terms all across the United States - he was a carnie, cook and a clerk. He lived in many parts of the United States, ultimately settling and passing away, after a short battle with Covid, in Columbus, Ohio.
He was passionate about his Buffalo Bills, Ohio State Buckeyes and sports in general. He had eclectic tastes in music and would listen to anything and most everything. He would often ask Alexa to play something from the past and enjoyed sharing his musical tastes with those around him. As a friend of Dr. Bob and Bill he was willing, when asked, to share his experience, strength and hope in recovery. He called Meadow Park Church of God home and enjoyed friendship and fellowship with many in this faith community, where he was accepted and loved greatly.
He was married to his wife Beverly (Bokar) for 10 years and in relationship with her for 13 years. Their life together changed her forever and brought great joy. He loved his sister Sharon Frazier fiercely and enjoyed visits with she and her friend Ponytail in Florida or Ohio on several occasions.
He assured his daughter Ashliegh (John) Ollam was loved and treated her as his own. He will be forever missed by his grandchildren Kylynn, Jase, Cooper, AJ and bonus grandsons Seth, Kyle, Ryan and Levi. Additionally he leaves behind nephews Joe (Millie), Shane and neice Lori Lynn (Jerry) whom he fondly remembered as a baby. Other family included brothers-in-law Doug (Jen), Timothy and Ed (Valerie), nephew Anthony Bokar and niece Amanda (Jeff) Pritt. Additionally he leaves behind both great and great great neices and nephews.
Gary had a heart of compassion and would take in any stray he could find. He will be remembered for good conversation, fiercely protecting his family, loving his grandchildren and always having a sweet treat for them. He was not with us long enough and will be missed greatly.
An informal celebration of life for friends and family will be held on June 25, 2022 at Griggs Dam in Upper Arlington at 11:30 with a time of sharing to begin at 12:30pm.
