Gary L. Goodwin, age 53, of Columbus, Ohio passed away April 10, 2006. Gary was employed by Eurest Dining at McGraw Hill in Columbus. He provided many years of dedicated service to the employees at the cafeteria of McGraw Hill Publishing Company. He was a former member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church and a graduate of Brookhaven High School. He is survived by his father, Albert Goodwin; mother, Juanita Goodwin; brothers, Steve Goodwin (Kit), Dana Goodwin (Ann) and Alan Goodwin; also sister, Kathy Reed (Jay); nephews, David Goodwin, Matthew Goodwin, and Mitchell Leiendecker; four nieces, Melissa Goodwin, Beth Goodwin, Erin Leiendecker Woodruff (Nick) and Kelly Leiendecker; three great-nephews, Joshua Goodwin, Gabriel Woodruff and Daniel Woodruff. Family will receive friends from 4-8 pm, Friday, April 14, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd. Reverend James Freshour will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Epilepsy Foundation, 4351 Garden City Dr., Suite 500, Landover, MD 20785-7223.
