Gene Spellman, 77, passed away July 5, 2013. He was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Frances.
Gene is survived by his wife, Joy; children, Marty (Carla) Spellman and Karen (Todd) Hurley; grandchildren, Carly (Kyle) Robertson, Ryan (Becki) Spellman, Kelsey Spellman and Jack Hurley; siblings, Chuck (Shirley) Spellman, Betty (Terry) Stuff, Harold (Rhonda) Spellman and Julie (Matt) Logan; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Gene was a lifelong Grove City resident, an avid bowler and loved spending time at Scioto Downs and Beulah Park.
Visitation Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Graveside Service Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 12 pm at Grove City Cemetery (New Section near Demorest Rd.), Grove City, OH.
Gene was an organ and tissue donor and the family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lifeline of Ohio, 770 Kinnear Rd., Suite 200, Columbus, OH 43212 or the charity of your choice.
