George Edward Barker, 52, passed away January 7, 2013. Born February 15, 1960 in Portsmouth, OH to Edward and Norma Barker.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Keith Barker.
In addition to his parents, George is survived by his wife, Kathy (Hustead) Barker; step-son, Justin McIntyre; as well as other family and friends.
Graduated from Portsmouth HS, and attended Wright State University in Dayton, OH. George was stationed with the Ohio Air National Guard at Rickenbacker Air Force Base in Lockbourne, OH and served in the United States Air Force for over 29 years. He was an avid chess player and sports fan.
Visitation Friday, January 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior at D.W. Swick Funeral Home, 10900 Main St., South Webster, OH. Burial to follow at South Webster Cemetery.
