George Earlin Carpenter

Carpenter, George E. age 94 of Powell Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday March 23rd 2025. He was born December 16th 1930 in Grove City, Ohio to Jessie Mutalas,Carpenter, (Lawless) and Walter C. Carpenter who have preceded him in his death. George was a very loving, caring, and giving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great, great grandfather. He was devoted to his family and will be missed by all who knew him. He was an avid Ohio State buckeyes fan who loved watching and cheering for them. George was a long time employee at Nationwide Insurance for 45 years. He is preceded in death by his son Steve E. Carpenter and is survived by his wife Carol Sue Carpenter (Hupp), sons Jeffrey D. Carpenter (Barbara), Mark A Carpenter (Lorraine), David J. Carpenter (Elizabeth), April D Peterson Carpenter (Kris). Also surviving him is his Grandchildren Kira and Kendyl Peterson Jordan and Braden Carpenter, Sarah (Mike) Cayton, Shannon, Sarah, Sabrina and Cayla Carpenter. Great grandchildren Hunter, Mya, and Cameron Cayton and Alexis Martinez. Great, great grandchildren Estella and Isiah Rhoades. George thought so much of his mother (Jessie) that he often reminisced and used her favorite saying “it's a great life if ya don't weaken”. The family has requested a private service.
