George Halbert, age 76 of Columbus, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on August 8, 2018. He was born on June 29, 1942 to the late Earl and Dale Halbert. George is survived by wife of 50 years Sharon (Wood) Halbert, children Sharene (Brian) Fleetham, George (Delaney) Halbert II and Shari (Aaron) Welsh, grandchildren Sage (Zach) Stillings, Gage Halbert, Ryan Fleetham, Marissa Halbert, Kate Fleetham, Reilly Trembley, Evan Welsh, Chloe Welsh, Coen Halbert, Tyler Welsh and Annie Welsh, brothers Robert (Chris) Halbert and Phil (Rose) Halbert. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by sister Becky Axmann.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm.
Burial to follow at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The American Cancer Society, 1198 Kenny Centre Mall, Columbus, OH 43220.
