HILL
George Leroy Hill 76, Columbus, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the VA Hospital in Dayton. George was born in Woodstock, OH, on April 25, 1935, to the late Leroy and Cecil (Peppers) Hill. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Miller; son, Dwight Hill; sisters, Anna Stephens, Shirley Kendrick; Susie Hill; brother, Howard (Gloria) Hill; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; good fishing buddies, Steve Armbrester, Robbie Sullivan, Andre Harp and LaKeith Johnson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many additional friends. George was raised in Marysville, OH and served in the US Army from 1953-1956, worked as a cook at Riverside Hospital, Imperial House Motel, University Club and the Clarmont Restaurant. After retirement, George worked for the Ohio Auto Auctions. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and pitching horseshoes. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Shirley Brown and David Turner for their continued support and friendship thru the years. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011, from 1-3 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus OH.
