George James Lucas, 62, of Blacklick, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from a brief illness. He was born December 15, 1943, in Cambridge, OH, he was a loving father and devoted grandfather. George was employed as an assistant deli manager at Kroger (161 & Cleveland Ave.) and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Dan and Anna (Swacus) Lucas; brothers, Andy, Joe, John, Michael, Robert, Dave and Paul; sister, Geri. He is survived by a son, Jeff Lucas of Blacklick, OH; daughter, Michelle Lucas of Blacklick, OH; sisters, Pat (Keith) Stevens of Grove City, OH and Roberta Lucas of Zanesville, OH; grandchildren, Brandon Foster, Brooke, Abby and Madison Amrine also several nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus with visitation one hour prior to services.
