George Larry Massie

George Larry Massie, born on February 15, 1940, in Columbus, OH, passed away on April 9, 2025.

George was a proud graduate of Upper Arlington High School, class of 1959. George was an avid fisherman, loved gardening and hunting. He enjoyed traveling too. George really missed Martha after her passing.

George was a Lieutenant with the Columbus Police Department, until his retirement.

George is survived by brothers James (Judy) Massie and Michael Massie, grandchildren Christopher (Sarah) Massie, Andrew (Kathryn) Massie, Aubrey Massie, Emma Massie, and Olivia (Tyler) Jarzyk . Additionally, he leaves behind his great-grandchildren-Emma, Peyton, Allyson, LilyAnn, and Tanner.

He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Massie, sons Mathew Massie and Michael Massie, parents George and Alice Lucille (Uhl) Massie.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

George's legacy will continue through his family, whose lives have been profoundly shaped by his love, values, and unforgettable spirit. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be held from 10am-11am, with a Funeral Service following promptly at 11am.
