George Edward Maxstead died, at age 73, peacefully surrounded by his children.
Ladies man, gambler, and rebel. Geo told his last inappropriate joke on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, that which cannot be stated here. George was a fighter and died just like he lived. He wrote his own rules, fought authority, and paved his own way. When illness knocked in 2002, he waited almost 20 years to answer that door. With the ability to sell ice to an Eskimo, George used his charismatic personality throughout his successful career in car sales. He never knew a stranger, invited everyone in, and lived life larger than most. George lived 1,000 years in his 73 calendar years on earth.
George is preceded in death by his father (George Maxstead), his mother (Sylvia Maxstead), his brother (Dale Maxstead), his sister (Patti Phillips), his daughters (Joy Maxstead-Kirk and Heather Bodessa), and great grandson (Micah Moling).
He is survived by his many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in addition to his brother (Richard Maxstead) and sister (Barbara Billings). Joseph Maxstead (son) and his children Randi, Kelly, Logan (wife, Jasmine), Annsleigh, Maddie, and Cortnie; James Maxtsead (son) and his children Cierra, Toni, McKenzie, Harley, and Charlie; Greg/Carissa Maxstead (son/daughter in-law) and their children Becca, Riley, and Rori, Susan Maxstead (daughter), Jacci/Dusty Woolwine (daughter/son in-law) and their children Lexi, Cameron, and Dylon; Nikki/Stephen Stead (daughter/son in-law) and their children Nathaniel and Mackenzie; Lindsi Maxstead and Hallie (husband Scott) Price (grandchildren/children of daughter Joy); Jamie (wife Rebekah) Wolfberg, Matthew Bodessa, and Kirsten Bodessa (grandchildren/children of daughter Heather); and his beloved pets Howie, Gizmo, and Buttons.
While George is having a heavenly reunion with his best friend/brother, daughters, great grandson, and favorite dog, Bailey, we ask that you join us in celebrating his life.
