George McKinstry, Jr, 72, of Columbus, passed away on July 10, 2023.
He was born in Columbus, MS on September 7, 1950 to George McKinstry, Sr and Margie (Conner) McKinstry. George is preceded in death by his parents, his very special Aunt Virginia and three brothers, Billy McKinstry, Bobby Ray McKinstry, and Terry Connor.
The surviving family includes his loving wife of 28 years, Eva (Hale) McKinstry, his dear sister and uncle, Irene Conner and John (Mary) Conner, and sister Taffie Ann (Conner) Webb. Also surviving George are his children Steven Craig McKinstry, Randall McKinstry, Tasha McKinstry, and Tanya McKinstry, uncles Fred Conner and Roger Conner, and many family members.
In Columbus, OH, George is survived by an extended family of stepchildren and step-grandchildren and is a retiree from several schools and local hospitals.
He was an avid fan of golf and had a vast selection of hats and shoes.
The family is having a private ceremony for George but welcomes messages of condolences and remembrance from friends and colleagues.
