George C. Nyswaner, 83, of Galloway, passed away February 12, 2006 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Mary (Murdock) Nyswaner and daughter Dottie Powell. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Dorothy; daughter, Linda (David) Garrett of Westerville; son, George (Joyce) Nyswaner of Grove City; brother, Clifford Nyswaner of Clarksville, PA; son-in-law, Charlie Powell of Pickerington; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; dear friends, Russ and Kris Miller, Kate Pouch, Dave and Patti Merkle and many others. George retired from North American Rockwell. After retiring, he was employed by Jack Kessler for many years. He also was a bartender for private parties and social functions. George was a veteran of the US Army Air Force serving during World War II. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and Good Conduct medal. George was a member of the V.F.W. in Gahanna and West Jefferson. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Post 7005, 56 N.
