George C. Pellum of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home in the presence of his family on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the age of 82.
Born April 14, 1937 to Naomi "Bud" Pellum and Ella Pellum at his family home in Bakerhill, Alabama.
He was a graduate of Bakerhill High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a member of the Army Security Agency used in high clearance areas while stationed in Europe. He retired from Sears as a home improvement supervisor.
George enjoyed spending time travelling, fishing, and camping, especially with his wife and family.
He was kind, generous, soft spoken, a man of few words, a southern gentleman who was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was the kind of person that people wanted to be like. He could lead without saying a word. He kept his life private and let his good works speak for themselves.
He lived in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Evelyn Pellum. They were married faithfully for 57 years and shared every part of their lives together.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, "Bud" and Ella Pellum.
He was survived by his wife Evelyn, sons Stephen Pellum and William (Jane) Pellum, and four grandchildren: Natalie, Brooke, Logan, and Olivia Pellum.
He will be dearly missed by his friends, family, and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the same location on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:00AM, with Pastor William Pellum officiating.
Burial will follow at Galloway Cemetery, Galloway, OH 43119.
