George Larry Rice

George Larry Rice went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2024. Larry was born on December 17, 1940 in Gallipolis, OH to Clarence and Alma Rice.
Larry served in the Army Reserves for 5 years, Baseman Printing Company, retired from The Ohio State University print shop after 25 years, along with many other part time jobs that made him smile. Larry was an elder and faithful servant at The Potter's House Church of God on Lowell Dr in Columbus, OH for many years. In Larry's retirement years, which he loved the most, he enjoyed spending priceless moments with family and friends along with piddling in his garage from dawn to dusk.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Alma Rice and brother Tom Rice. Larry is survived by his wife Betty Rice of 32 years; children Terri (Pete) Nino, Joe (Jessica) Rice; step-children Mark (Yvonne) Crum, LaDonna (Jason) White; granddaughters Jessica (Shane) McDowell, Kyleigh (Kevin) Byas; step-granddaughters Jacqueline (Jesse) Minton and Sydney White; great-grandchildren Daulton, Trissa, Hollie, Brody, Brystal, Shilo, River, and Ella.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 10:30am with visitation beginning at 9:00am at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Interment to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery on Dublin Rd, Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to The Potter's House Church of God, 3220 Lowell Dr, Columbus, OH 43204.
