George William Shook II, 66, passed away peacefully in his home on February 21, 2023. He survived bladder cancer, a heart attack, and almost a year of brain cancer before he passed. He was preceded in death by mother, Mary Lou Watts; father, George William Shook I; son, Robert Michael Wolf. Butch is survived by daughter, Megan Austin; spouse, Michelle Sharp; siblings, Kathy, Pamela, Rebecca, and Ross; granddaughters, Shyla and Anya; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Butch was known for enjoying the outdoors. He was often seen gardening or watching the birds. Butch served for our country for 10 years. He served as a Ranger for the US Army. When he was young he was a truck driver and a roofer. Throughout his older years he found joy taking care of horses, which became one of his passions. Butch was a hardcore Cleveland Browns and Buckeye fan. He also loved his country and history.
Butch was the love of Michelle Sharp's life. They spent 38 happy years together. He was the greatest dad and Poppy to his granddaughters. He was a father figure to many and left a huge impact on friends and family. He will forever be missed.
Memorial Gathering Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4pm until the time of Memorial Service at 5pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
