George "Smokey" Stover, 63, of Grove City, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West. He was born June 7, 1945, in Columbus, son of the late George and Rita McGonigle Stover. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Canter. He was an avid Notre Dame fan. George is survived by his wife, Charity-Jo "Dody" Stover; son, George "Bill" (Michelle) Stover; daughters, Marie (Peyton) Donaway and Rhonda (Anthony) Cook; brother, Michael (Lea) Stover; grandchildren, Darren Stover, Gabrielle and Alesia Cook, Patrick, Matthew and Shawn Stover and Makinleigh Donaway; great granddaughter, Lashyrah Stover; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hope (Omer) Abner, Ralph White, Barry (Kay) Thompson; aunt, Edna Seger; special childhood friend, Anthony Agriesti and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, with a rosary service at 6:30 PM.
