"Love me but let me go" Gerald L. "Jake" Hinkle, age 81, passed away August 25, 2012. He was born June 5, 1931 in Fenwick, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Opal Hinkle and siblings, Bob, Les and Mildred.
Jake is survived by his loving wife of 62 Years, Wanda; children, Karon (Lowell) Murphy, Gerald "Frank" (Jill) Hinkle, Gary (Rana) Hinkle and Alicia (Mike) Henderson; grandchildren, Frankie, Carrie, Chelle, Pat, Shawn, Jeremy, Sabrina, Tiffany, Jamie and Jonathan; 21 great-grandchildren and many friends.
Jake was regional distribution manager for many distribution centers including, Cambridge Inc., Monro Brake and Muffler in Rochester, NY, and Buckeye Mart Inc. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he was loved by many.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 with funeral services following at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Baptist Church, 1955 Frank Rd., Columbus, OH 43223 or Little Laurel Baptist Church, Little Laurel Rd., Richwood, WV 26261.
