Gerald L. Simmons, 83, of Columbus, passed away May 6, 2023.
Jerry was born September 22, 1939 in Ypsilanti, MI to Harley and Viola (Van Allen) Simmons.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Jerry enjoyed playing golf, ceramics, watching hockey and spending time with his family.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife Bonnie (Huff) of 60 years; children: Jeffery (Mendy) Simmons, Karen (Edwin) Keck; grandchildren: Emma Keck, Zachary (Alicia) Jardine, Kive Simmons, Nathan (Tammy) Keck; great-grandchildren: Ethan Jardine, Aiden Jardine, Sophia Jardine along with many other family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus.
