Geraldine Hayes, 90, of Groveport, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Columbus Park East. She was born July 25, 1920, in Columbus. Geraldine was preceded in death by her father, William Todd; mother, Anna Todd; sister, Frances Jordan; brother, Jerry D. Todd; son, Carl F. Hayes; sister, Marie Fishbaugh. She was a member of the Church of Christ on McNaughten Rd. and also a lifetime member of PERS. Geraldine retired from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles after 30 years of service. She is survived by her close friends, Carolyn J. Speakman, Carol Todd, Mark Hurtt and Todd Koger; son, Jack (Becky) Hayes; daughter, Elaine (Don) Christianson; sixteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and twenty-seven great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday July 1, 2011 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd Columbus, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 540 Officecenter Place Ste. 100 Gahanna, OH 43230.
