Geraldine "Geri" J. Hendrickson

Geraldine "Geri" J. Hendrickson, 82, of Westerville, passed away March 6, 2024. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio on July 7, 1941 to the late Kenneth and Lillian (Jeffries) Bickmeier. She married Stephen W. Hendrickson on May 27, 1961. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2022.

Those left to cherish Geri's memory include daughter, Jana (Dan) Girard; grandchildren Jonalynn, Jessica, Alexis, Zachary, Madeline, Lillian, and Jacob; eleven great-grandchildren; brother David (Margaret) Bickmeier; and many other family members and friends. Along with her parents and husband, Geri was preceded in death by son, John M. Hendrickson; and brothers, Alfred, Kenneth Jr. and Richard Bickmeier.

Geri graduated high school from Bellaire High School in 1960. She served as the loving matriarch of the Hendrickson family; but she also served as Contract Examiner for 30 years, for the State Architect Office of Ohio. She retired in 2000. Before she became sick she was an avid reader, loved to cook, travel, spend time with family and help out with her church. She was one that always like to keep busy and do for others than herself. She belonged to Creekside Christian Church (formerly North Park Church of Christ) where she belonged to the Women's Ministry, Helped with Women's bible study, and headed the church kitchen for dinners.

Family will receive guests from 10-11am, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Creekside Christian Church, 4938 Westerville Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43231. Service to begin at 11am, Saturday March 16, also at the church. Burial to occur privately at a later date. The Newcomer family is honored to serve the Hendrickson family.
